Project Presentation

Trust conducted a multi-sectoral needs assessment (MSNA) in Syria, identifying the needs of returnees, IDPs, and host community members in the target districts, and its potential integration with protection, mine action, livelihoods, and shelter themes. Findings provided in this final report will inform the organization future programming in the region. To this end, the team aimed to reach the follow objectives:
1. Assess existing needs of crisis and natural disaster-affected communities, mainly IDPs, returnees and host communities.
2. Analyze possible food security vulnerabilities based on standard food security indicators: Food Consumption Score (FCS), Reduced Coping Strategy Index (rCSI), Household Dietary Diversity Score (HDDS) and Livelihood Coping Strategy Index (LCSI).
3. Analyze geographical coverage gaps and other sectoral gaps in shelter rehabilitation of community infrastructure contaminated with explosive hazard (identifying three socioeconomic infrastructure), protection and cash.
