Training in Monitoring & Evaluation in Child Protection Interventions took place in Gaziantep, Turkey on 18th March 2017. 15 participants joined the training with Ahmad Salem from organisations; Concern Worldwide, Goal, Hand in Hand, PARCIC, Welthungerhilfe, and Trust.
The training began by contextualising the subject and asking “what is protection?” and “who protects?”. It then moved on to looking at child protection in emergency contexts, ethical considerations, monitoring tools and how to design a child protection monitoring plan.
By the end of the day participants had an understanding of goals, outcomes and outputs of child protection interventions, and knowledge of how to monitor child protection situations and project outputs. It was a very enjoyable and educational day and Trust would like to thank the trainer Ahmad Salem for facilitating the training and the participants for taking part.
