Third Party Monitoring ‘Supporting Health Service Providers in Northern Syria’

Project Presentation

Trust was invited to do a third round of monitoring for Islamic Relief Sweden’s ‘Supporting Health Service Providers in Northern Syria’ project which is providing health and emergency assistance to displaced populations in Idleb, Aleppo, and Latakia through financial, physical, and capacity strengthening support. Trust designed tools using OECD/DAC criteria and conducted data collection in each of the project areas to determine the project’s achievements, weaknesses, and challenges, and to validate progress made towards the project’s goals. In addition, Trust determined best practices and lessons learned to improve future implementation. Qualitative data was collected to determine the outcomes and impact of project activities, beneficiary satisfaction, and accessibility and usefulness of complaint and risk management systems. 16 FGDs were conducted with beneficiaries to assess their needs and satisfaction with services. Additionally, 20 KIIs were conducted with project staff at various levels and locations to gain insights into the implementation, challenges, and lessons learned till date.
