Third-Party Monitoring | Relief Cross Border Assistance

Project Presentation

Global Communities and its three local partners, Giras Alnhadha, Maram and Binaa, is implementing projects in the northern Syrian governorates with funding from OFDA/USAID. Trust, in collaboration with iAPS, conducted third party monitoring of the activities. The main objective was to verify implementation against planned activities and generate knowledge for future programming. The project was multi-sectorial including WASH, protection, NFIs and FSL activities. Several tools were employed, including household surveys with beneficiaries, FGDs with external stakeholders, in-depth interviews with key internal and external stakeholders, and individual observation visits by a 15-member field team during the months of February, March and April 2017. The tools were structured to include a range of open, closed and comparative questions.
