Study | Third-Party Monitoring and Remote Management Modalities

Project Presentation

The Japan Platform (JPF) engaged Trust Consultancy & Development to conduct a study of its Third Party Monitoring (TPM) and Remote Management (RM) processes and modalities, in collaboration with JPF, member NGOs, consultants, and other stakeholders in Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and South Sudan.

Trust Consultancy & Development analyzed the Third-Party Monitoring and Remote Management practices and modalities, suggesting improvements and providing options for other complementary and/or replacement modalities. This study included desk research on best practices in TPM and RM, 50 KIIs with member NGOs, TPM Company representatives, bilateral agencies, INGOs, and INGOs working in the target locations, and an analysis of the findings against existing modalities to provide recommendations on improvement. Trust also developed, disseminated, and analyzed the results of an online survey that gathered information from the broader humanitarian community about the efficiency and effectiveness of TPM and RM modalities.
