Research Project

Trust has taken a mixed-method participatory approach to capturing the impact of the water crisis on rural and urban communities in Syria. Trust determined the impact of the water crisis among infant and young children feeding practices at household level; identified links between family hygiene practices and the weight loss, especially among children under two years of age; assessed the frequency of disease among children under two; assessed drinking water sources, storage, treatment and consumption practices, and how these have changed following the water crisis.
