Monitoring and Verification of Lifesaving Emergency Assistance in Syria

Project Presentation

Trust conducted an assignment to monitor and verify the implementation of Relief International’s ECHO funded project activities and an evaluation of the extent to which project objectives have been met. This project provides life-saving primary, secondary and reproductive healthcare services and integrated WASH support in northern Syria. As part of this monitoring activity, 9 health facilities were sampled, of which 3 were mobile. Moreover, Trust conducted 1,800 beneficiary and community household surveys, 96 FGDs, 36 KIIs, 9 observation checklists in health facilities. To illuminate the on-the-ground impact of the project on the daily lives of beneficiaries, Trust also developed 18 case studies. The evaluation identified the achievements, best practices, challenges, recommendations and lessons learned, which were presented to RI in a final report.
