Mid-Term Evaluation | Remote Capacity Strengthening Project in Syria

Project Presentation

Trust Consultancy & Development was contracted by Save the Children to conduct a mid-term evaluation of their Remote Capacity Strengthening Project in Syria, which aims to strengthen programmatic management and operational skills of Syrian organisations who can provide humanitarian relief in the short term, and eventually recovery and reconstruction efforts. The main objective of the research was to determine to what degree Save the Children’s capacity strengthening activities to support civil society organisations in Syria are appropriate.

The evaluation design took on a participatory and learning-centred approach which would map a way forward to build on what was working and a commitment to understanding what was not. Tools involved a literature review and 17 KIIs and at the conclusion of data collection, data was analysed and put into a final report presenting findings and recommendations.
