Gender Analysis | Technical Vocational Education and Training and Labour Market Services for Syrian Refugees and Host Communities

It is a quality standard for all GIZ projects worldwide to consider gender specific implications through an initial gender analysis. In line with this objective, Trust was tasked to conduct a gender analysis to examine how two of their social cohesion and education projects address and respond to gender dynamics and inequalities in the technical design and institutional processes. Trust deployed a team led by a gender consultant to conduct this study, which included a gender audit of GIZ’s labour market services partner. At the conclusion of the study, Trust provided the project team with additional knowledge and a report on what has been done and what can be done in the future to better integrate gender issues in the projects and in their implementing partner.
