Dimah is the Co-founder and Executive Director of justiceNow, a grassroots organization advocating for improved human rights in Iraq and the Kurdish region. She is also a research fellow at the Kurdish Peace Institute, where her research focuses on digital rights, education, and post-conflict recovery. Her current work delves into justice and reparations for the victims of the Anfal genocide, with a particular emphasis on the role of youth and education in shaping Kurdistan’s future. As an undergraduate, she co-founded the Human Rights Club, which focused on justice for marginalized groups and women’s reproductive health. Her key areas of expertise include human rights, women’s rights, and international justice. 

Sawen Sharif
Co-founder and Co-Director
JusticeNow

Sawen Sharif is the Co-founder and Co-Director of JusticeNow, a grassroots organization advocating for human rights in Iraq and the SWANA region. She is also a research fellow at the Kurdish Peace Institute, where her work focuses on human rights abuses in Rojhalat (Iran) and their impact on Bashur (Iraq). Previously, Sawen has led initiatives on transitional justice for Yazidis, women’s reproductive health rights, and connecting youth activists in the Kurdistan Region with international stakeholders. Her latest research project integrates AI to track radicalism and hate speech against Kurds, addressing misinformation online. Her key areas of expertise include human rights advocacy, youth empowerment, and digital rights.

Eleonora is the Business Development Officer at Trust Consultancy and Development, where she organizes external webinars and open discussions, leading conversations on third-party monitoring and evaluation. These initiatives promote learning and professional development within the sector. With two years of field experience in the humanitarian sector, she brings practical insights into these efforts. She is also pursuing an MSc in Gender, Peace, and Security at The London School of Economics and Political Science, blending academic expertise with her dedication to capacity building and meaningful dialogue.
