The Impact of Aid in Local Economies: Joint Workshop with Bridging Peoples
Trust held a workshop with Bridging Peoples to discuss and review the outcomes of our recent jointly research. The research investigated the impact of aid on local economies in Darkoush and Salquin, Idleb, Syria.
The focus of the workshop was to test and refine our research findings, and to discuss the broader question of how the delivery of aid might be improved to better support local Syrian economies. The current approaches to aid might mean for long-term prospects for economic recovery have also been discussed.
We immensely enjoyed the heated discussions around current and potential approaches to aid delivery and are eager to share our final findings as soon as the research project is wrapped up.
