Procurement and Logistics Training with Will Holden in Syria

First training with Will Holden: Procurement and Logistics for humanitarian organizations

Last week 17 participants joined our training in Procurement & Logistics. The participants were from multiple organisations working in the Syria context; People In Need, CARE, Qatar Red Crescent, IYD, SAMS, Samaritan’s Purse, Global Communities, ACTED, NRC, Care International, and Binaa Organisation for Development. Trainer Will Holden (Emergency Logistics Team) flew from Ireland to conduct the training and share his knowledge and experience from over 25 years of working in the sector, in countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey, and South Sudan.  Participants learnt the A-Z of Procurement and Logistics over 5 days participating in group exercises, discussing theoretical scenarios and sharing their own experiences from the field.

The training covered procurement, warehouse, fleet, assets, and distribution, and focused specifically on challenges faced during daily operations in an emergency context.

It was a great pleasure to welcome Will to Gaziantep, we hope to see him again for more training soon.
